BLETHER

BLETHER is a storytelling event/community collective that I set up in London and then brought up to Manchester. We now reside in the community arts space Levenshulme Old Library. We run cabarets and social events designed to break down structures of spectacle, competition, disconnection, passive consumption and excessive productivity in the arts, in favour of play, joy, collaboration, DIY, silliness, support, solidarity and friendship. We believe firmly in the value of a third space, that being a place separate from home or work where people can convene and be in commune with each other.
