In Loving Memory is an interactive performance installation created by Bridget Russon and myself, featuring archival film, sound design, and a unique offering for viewers to draw on the walls of the space. The live performance explores the end of childhood and the awakening of adult life, blending elements of a birthday party, funeral, and rite of passage. Inspired by religious readings and childhood experiences, the project uses spoken-word eulogy, live soundscapes, film, and live art to explore the process of aging, loss of the ability to play, and self-awareness. The performance invites the audience to honor their past selves, hold space for them, and reconnect with their inner child. Here they reclaim the right to be funny and silly and strange a
